Empire of the Sun Announce 2027 Australian & New Zealand Tour

Electronic duo Empire of the Sun are bringing their Ask That God: Afterlife Tour to Australian and New Zealand shores in 2027.

Three years on since their last tour of Australia, Empire of the Sun have locked in a six-date run of shows across February and March next year.

"Ask That God: Afterlife feels like a tour of unknowns and possibilities — new visions, new plateaus, fragile breakthroughs," says Empire of the Sun's Luke Steele. "I think things are going to happen on this tour that have never happened before. We can't wait to take this music and this tour to new frontiers. Let's break barriers together."

This run of shows is the final live instalment of their global tour in support of the band's 2024 album, Ask That God, which has sold more than 400,000 tickets worldwide.

Kicking off in New Zealand, Empire of the Sun get the tour underway at Spark Arena in Auckland on Friday 19 February before heading to the Riverstage in Brisbane on Sunday 21 February. Empire of the Sun then hits Afterpay Arena in Sydney on Thursday 25 February and Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne on Saturday 27 February, followed by a concert at Adelaide's AEC Arena on Tuesday 2 March before a homecoming performance at RAC Arena in Perth on Saturday 6 March.

The brainchild of Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, Empire of the Sun are one of the country's most visionary outfits.

Breaking out in 2008 with their debut album Walking On A Dream, which spawned anthems 'Walking On A Dream' and 'We Are The People' and hit #6 on the ARIA Albums Chart, Empire of the Sun have released three more records – Ice on the Dune (2013), Two Vines (2016) and Ask That God (2024). 

With more than five million albums sold, six billion streams, eight ARIA Awards and two APRA Awards, Empire of the Sun bring their electrifying live show to Australian and New Zealand audiences in 2027.
