Kings of Leon Announce 10th Studio Album, 'O My Beloved', Share First Single 'My Whole World'

Tennessee rockers Kings of Leon have announced that their tenth studio album, O My Beloved, is dropping Friday 6 November via Love Tap Records, distributed by Virgin Music.

A collection of songs reflecting the people they've met and the places they've been over the journey, this is the band's first full-length self-produced album. A deeply personal release with a focus on family and gratitude, O Me Beloved finds KOL stripping things back to basics.

"We have already surpassed anything we ever imagined we could do, and we've built something that is so special. I thought, wouldn't it be beautiful to make an album that is looking back on all of the things that we’ve done and appreciating how we got here," says lead singer Caleb Followill.

"In the songs, there's our families, stories from our childhood, things that maybe didn't seem that significant at the time, but the way they find their way into these songs kind of lets me realise how impactful they really were in my life."

The announcement of O My Beloved is accompanied by the release of the album's first single, 'My Whole World', a yearning, country-tinged acoustic number with shades of Neil Young. The track showcases a more vulnerable side to the band, with a music video featuring the lads perfomring intercut with old home movie footage of the band throughout their lives.

Emerging in 2003 with Youth & Young Manhood, the Followill family – Caleb (guitar/vocals), Nathan (drums), Jared (bass) and Matthew (guitar) – have released nine albums, including their top-charting fourth record Only by the Night (2008).

KOL have sold over 20 million albums and nearly 40 million singles worldwide, with their seventh record, WALLS, their first-ever #1 album debut on the Billboard Top 200.

With countless awards to their name, including four Grammy wins and two BRIT Awards, the band's upcoming album finds KOL reflecting on family, gratitude and the journey that brought them to where they are today.
