Melbourne/Naarm psych-folk rocker Winter McQuinn is gearing up for the release of his third album, Where Are We Now?, due out 19 September via Third Eye Stimuli Records (pre-order here).
The album contains nine tracks recorded with a plethora of incredibly talented artists, including Dylan Young (Way Dynamic), Feign Jima, Hot Apple Band, Shelby De Fazio (Bad Bangs), Chet Sounds, Acacia Coates, GFS and Rudy Polacheck.
An introspective record where McQuinn poses the question, “Where are we heading?”, the album is the singer-songwriter’s most personal yet.
To celebrate, McQuinn has announced a run of national shows across the country from September to November. Accompanied by his band, McQuinn will play 13 shows, including support slots for Sonny & The Sunsets, Kacy & Clayton and Sylvie.
McQuinn kicks things off at Rocksteady Records in Melbourne on Friday 19 September and continues with shows in Kyneton, Anglesea, Castlemaine, Adelaide, Thirroul, Sydney, Valla, Archies Creek, Melbourne, Brisbane and Bangalow, with the final gig on Friday 28 November at Tanswells Hotel in Beechworth.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via linktr.ee/winter.mcquinn.

Best known for his work as the lead vocalist of Sunfruits and as the drummer for Jade Imagine, Winter McQuinn has been quietly making a name for himself as a solo artist over the past five years.
Releasing his 2021 debut album, A Rabble Of Bees, to glowing reviews, the DIY folk-psych artist has continued to spellbind with personal tales told through the lens of ‘70s soft rock folk.
He followed up with last year’s Move To the Trees and collaborated with Acacia Pip on the EP Recently I’ve Been Missing the Colour Green. Excited for the release of his third record Where Are We Now?, McQuinn hits the road with his band for what promises to be an awesome run of shows performing tracks from the new record.
