Jebediah Documentary 'Are We OK?' Coming To Cinemas This October

Perth alt-rockers Jebediah's highly anticipated feature documentary Jebediah: Are We OK? is coming to the big screen this October.

Distributed across Australia and New Zealand by Madman Entertainment, fans can experience the film in cinemas across the country accompanied by a series of special Q&As featuring members of the band and the filmmakers.

Premiering at the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) this year, Jebediah: Are We OK? takes fans behind the scenes of the beloved rocker outfit, combining thirty years of unseen personal archives and home videos with intimate present-day access.

The doco was crafted over 11 years by Victorian writer-director Arlo Dean Cook and produced by Western Australian producer Brooke Tia Silcox (Rockabul, Meal Tickets) of No Thing Productions.

The first screenings are in WA at Perth's Luna Leederville on Friday 2 October and Fremantle's Luna SX on Saturday 3 October. Jebediah: Are We OK? then plays in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Carlton, Yarraville, Melbourne and Richmond, before finishing up in Elsternwick on Monday 19 October.

Formed in suburban Perth in 1994, Jebediah consists of Kevin Mitchell, Chris Daymond, Vanessa Thornton and Brett Mitchell.

The band went from playing in school bands to national stardom with the release of their double-platinum debut Slightly Odway.

Thirty years later, Jebediah remain one of the country's hardest-working bands, continuing to release albums and tour regularly.
