Melbourne-based soul singer WILSN is embarking on her biggest headline tour to date, hitting five cities across the country this April and May.
A vocal powerhouse inspired by the great soul singers, last year saw the release of WILSN’s sophomore album, Bloom. Recorded in Brooklyn, the WILSN collaborated with a host of iconic New York soul musicians, including players associated with Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Thee Sacred Souls, Charles Bradley and Jalen Ngonda.
Released through Mushroom Music, Bloom peaked at #34 on the ARIA Album Charts and made it to #7 on the Australian Albums Chart and was well received by critics.
Excited to perform songs from the album for her adoring fans, WILSN kicks off her national tour at Lefty’s Music Hall in Meanjin/Brisbane on Thursday 30 April. Dates follow at Jive in Tarndanya/Adelaide on Friday 1 May, Mary’s Underground in Eora/Sydney on Thursday 7 May and The Night Cat in Naarm/Melbourne on Friday 15 May, with the final concert an appearance at Blues On Broadbeach in Bundjalung/Gold Coast on Saturday 16 May.

Discovering Aretha Franklin around the age of 13, WILSN, aka Shannon Busch, quickly fell in love with music, moving from Geelong to Melbourne to study jazz at the Victorian College of the Arts.
“I’ve been captivated by soul music since I was a kid, the emotion, the power and the stories in every note,” says WILSN. “I always try to make music that reflects my own truth while paying tribute to the voices who came before me, like Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Gladys Knight.”
While living in the big smoke, WILSN immersed herself in Melbourne’s music scene. It wasn’t long before she signed a deal with US publisher Pulse, prompting a move to the US, where she spent time working with Grammy Award-winning songwriters.
2023 saw the release of her debut album, Those Days Are Over, which won the AIR Award for Best Independent Soul R&B Album or EP. She followed up last year with Bloom and also won the 2025 Vanda and Young Global Song Competition for Give You Love, co-written for Jessica Mauboy and Jason Derulo.
