Eddy Current Suppression Ring Announce Special Adelaide Show

Huge news for Eddy Current Suppression Ring fans, with the Naarm/Melbourne post-punk outfit announcing a special show in Adelaide this November.

The band makes their long-awaited return to the City of Churches on Sunday 15 November at Woodville Town Hall with support from local artists Ricky Albeck and the Belair line band and Bag.

This is a matinee performance, with doors opening at 1:30pm and Eddy Current taking to the stage at 4pm. 

The tour arrives after the release of Eddy Current's first album in seven years, In Light of Recent Events, which arrived in May of this year. Available exclusively on Bandcamp, the follow-up to 2019’s All in Good Time was self-released by the band and received glowing reviews.

The album was a surprise to many, although Eddy Current had been showing signs of activity over the past 12 months, including a gig at Melbourne's Federation Square, a free performance at Vivid Sydney and an appearance at Brisbane's Open Season festival.

Eddy Current Suppression Ring's comeback is one people across the globe have been eagerly anticipating.

Formed over two decades ago, Eddy Current quickly gained a reputation for their high-energy live shows.

During the band's first iteration, they released three records – Eddy Current Suppression Ring (2006), Primary Colours (2008) and Rush to Relax (2008) – with Primary Colours often regarded as their best work.

Despite breaking up and getting back together several times over the journey, Eddy Current have always maintained a strong fanbase, with tickets for their upcoming Adelaide show expected to sell out.
