South Asian Australian Indie(an) artist TUSHAR is back with emotional new single, ‘Spell’, a track capturing the heartbreak of watching someone close to you struggle with mental health issues.
Following on from the release of ‘Lighthouse’, TUSHAR’s latest has a more vulnerable vibe, with poignant lyrics paired with slightly downtempo instrumentation and guest vocals from fellow SA artist effie isobel.
“Spell came from watching someone I care about struggle and wishing there was something more I could do to help,” explains TUSHAR.
“When someone you love is hurting, it can feel incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking to know that your support alone can't take away their pain. This song is about that feeling of helplessness, but also about continuing to show up for the people you love, even when you don't have the answers.”
