The Tullamarines Return With Powerful New Single 'Flight Path'
This is the first taste of new music from the Adelaide outfit since last year's EP, 'Safety Blanket'.

After a ripping cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain' for triple j's Like A Version, Adelaide indie rockers The Tullamarines deliver their first new original song of 2026, the powerful 'Flight Path'.
A glorious three-and-a-half minutes of melodic joy, the track finds the lovable quartet exploring self-doubt and creative burnout through honest lyrics and playful hooks.
"'Flight Path' is first and foremost about writer's block, but it's framed in a few different ways," the band explains. "It's actually the product of two very different demos that were merged in an effort to relieve a particularly long stretch of non-writing. This song is about so many things: losing confidence as you grow up, wanting to go home and hide from the world, struggling to be honest. It's a very troubling mosaic of thoughts and feelings that bubble away in the background of life, coming to the surface all at once."
Described as one of the band's most personal songs, 'Flight Path' ushers in the next era of The Tullamarines.

'Flight Path' lands after a huge 12 months for The Tullamarines. Over that time, the Adelaide act dropped their 2025 sophomore EP Safety Blanket, toured Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States, and played festivals including SXSW, The Great Escape, Dot To Dot, Immergut Festival, Hyperfest and A Day In The Gully.
Their single 'Running On Empty' became triple j's most played track last year and cracked the 2026 triple j Hottest 100, coming in at #91, with their music also featuring as part of a slew of playlists curated by Spotify and Apple.
Now with booking representation spanning the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and Canada, along with a rapidly expanding global fanbase, The Tullamarines have established themselves as one of the country's most exciting acts, with more new music and live dates to come.
