Celebrating 35 years as a band, Canadian rockers and regular Aussie visitors The Tea Party have announced a five-date tour taking place in February 2026.
The Jeff Martin-led trio have planned something a little different for their upcoming Elements Tour. The Tea Party will perform two types of shows – orchestral and rock.
The ‘Wind’ shows in Melbourne and Sydney feature the band accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra. The orchestra will be conducted by Sarah-Grace Williams, with The Tea Party joined by Orchestra Victoria for the Melbourne show and The Metropolitan Orchestra during the Sydney performance.
The remaining ‘Fire’ shows in Thirroul, Brisbane and Adelaide will be rock and roll themed concerts. All shows will feature a greatest hits set from the multi-million-selling act.
“To our friends in Australia, we’re officially coming back,” the band posted on social media. “We’re bringing a unique live experience with the Elements Tour, celebrating 35 years as a band.
“The ‘Wind’ shows in Melbourne and Sydney will see us perform with a 50-piece orchestra, and marking our first ever performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House with @themetorchestra. We will also return to the incredible Hamer Hall in Melbourne with @orchestravictoria.
“The ‘Fire’ shows in Thirroul, Brisbane, and Adelaide will be the loud rock’n’roll experience that you’ve come to expect from The Tea Party over the years. We can’t wait.”
The Tea Party’s Elements Tour begins with the two ‘Wind’ shows at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on Friday 6 February and Sydney’s Opera House on Wednesday 11 February. The trio then perform three rock gigs at Anita’s Theatre in Thirroul on Thursday 12 February, Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Friday 13 February and Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Sunday 15 February.
