‘Tell Me How It Feels’ ushers in a new era for Aussie indie stalwarts The Jungle Giants.
Written and produced by the band’s lead singer Sam Hales, ‘Tell Me How It Feels’ has an anthemic quality to it and is one of those songs you can imagine busting a move to on a packed dancefloor or while in the arms of your lover.
“‘Tell Me How It Feels’ brought me back to my first days with music, and naturally my single mother, who did everything she could to support me,” Hales said of the single. “She’s a badass, and a punk when it comes to love, so it felt really special to bring her into this album, in the same way that she brought me into music.”
The track is accompanied by a music video shot on the Country of the Dja Dja Wurrung people by Summer King & Meg Siejka, with Zachary Hamilton-Reeves from Northeast Party House credited as the clip's creative director.
Speaking on the video, Hales said, “‘Tell Me How It Feels’ music video is a nod to calling off my wedding while making this record. These last few years and this record have been all about healing, vulnerability and being happy again, and it feels god damn good to be here today sharing this, spreading joy and love on a global scale… We can’t wait for more to come!”
‘Tell Me How It Feels’ arrives off the back of The Jungle Giant’s 2021 ARIA #1 album Love Signs.
The band’s most successful record was released independently through Amplifire Music and includes the singles ‘Heavy Hearted’, ‘Sending Me Ur Loving’, ‘In Her Eyes’, ‘Treat You Right’ and ‘Love Signs’.
Featuring vocalist/guitarist/songwriter/producer Sam Hales, lead guitarist Cesira Aitken, bassist Andrew Dooris and drummer Keelan Bijker, The Jungle Giants have firmly established themselves as one of the country’s biggest acts, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store in 2026.
