The Church Announces ‘A Psychedelic Symphony’ Tour with The George Ellis Orchestra
The Church will perform reimagined versions of their biggest tracks.

Australian icons The Church have announced a brand new 2026 tour, but this time they are doing something a little different.
The Church’s A Psychedelic Symphony Tour sees the band joined by a 30-piece Symphony Orchestra led by celebrated conductor and composer George Ellis.
Together, they will remiagine The Church’s biggest and best hits, including ‘Under the Milky Way’, ‘The Unguarded Moment’, ‘Metropolis’, ‘Reptile’, ‘Almost With You’ and more.
“A lush violin sweep here, a 12-string guitar flourish there. This is The Church in ultra luxe mode,” the press release states.
Hitting the road at the end of the year, The Church’s orchestral tour begins in Sydney at the Sydney Opera House on Sunday 1 November.
The Church then play Gold Coast’s The Star (Saturday 7 November), Canberra’s Canberra Theatre (Thursday 12 November), Newcastle’s Civic Theatre (Saturday 14 November), Melbourne’s Hamer Hall (Friday 20 November), Geelong’s Costa Hall (Saturday 21 November) and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall (Wednesday 25 November), bringing things to a close in Adelaide at Thebarton Theatre on Saturday 28 November.
Pre-sale beings at 12pm AEST Wednesday 13 May, with general on-sale taking place at 12pm AEST Friday 15 May. Ticketing information is available at metropolistouring.com.

Coming out of Sydney’s underground scene of the early ‘80s, The Church have cemented themselves as one of Australia’s greatest bands.
Their 45-year career has produced one ARIA Award, over 25 studio albums, including their iconic 1988 record Starfish and their most recent release, 2024’s Eros Zeta and the Perfumed Guitars and millions of album sales.
The Church’s upcoming orchestral tour gives fans the chance to hear the band’s songs in a new light, with tickets expected to sell quickly.

The Church will perform reimagined versions of their biggest tracks.
‘Pressed’ is the second release from the LA-based artist in 2026.
This new version includes six unreleased tracks, including a collaboration with singer-songwriter Matt Corby.
