Television Legend and Musician Alan Fletcher Announces Special South Australian Shows
Alan Fletcher is playing two special shows in Goolwa and Thebarton this July.

Best known for his role as Dr Karl Kennedy on the long-running Aussie soap Neighbours, Alan Fletcher is also an accomplished musician who has announced two very special South Australian shows.
Heading our way in July, Fletcher, accompanied by musical partner Jennifer Hansen, has locked in two shows at Goolwa’s Murray Delta Juke Joint on Friday 10 July and Thebarton’s The Wheatsheaf Hotel on Sunday 12 July.
As a musician, Fletcher fronted the successful rock band Waiting Room for 15 years before shifting gears, now writing and performing music with a more alt-country meets folk vibe.
Speaking about his musical endeavours, Fletcher says, “My band Waiting Room played a weekly residency in Melbourne for many years and toured the UK eight times. I have continued that live tradition in music with three UK tours of my alt-country music, partnered with the release of two albums.”
Fletcher will also be joined on tour by emerging singer-songwriter Riley Catherall

Growing up in Perth, Fletcher got into acting at a young age, performing in several acclaimed theatre productions before getting his big break when cast in the police drama Cop Shop.
He continued to win odd roles here and there before being cast in 1994 as Karl Kennedy on Neighbours. Fletcher played Kennedy for 31 years while also embarking on a musical career, performing with the group Waiting Room before going solo.
Fletcher’s upcoming tour coincides with the release of his new album, Back To School, and continues with a run of more than 40 shows across the UK this year.
