The Cat Empire Announce ‘Orchestra Encore’ Australian Tour 2026/27

After announcing a run of special orchestral shows in Sydney and Canberra, The Cat Empire have added more dates, including concerts in Melbourne, Adelaide and Hobart.
The shows feature The Cat Empire performing all their biggest tracks with the local symphony orchestra of the city they are in.
“This is a big one! MELBOURNE / ADELAIDE / HOBART: We are super excited to be bringing our epic orchestral show to your cities,” The Cat Empire posted on social media.
“And it’s extra exciting as we’ll be performing the show for the first time in our home city of Melbourne at the mighty Sidney Myer Music Bowl for what’s going to be a huge summer celebration, complete with a mass youth choir.”
The funk and soul collective also revealed that even more shows will be announced in the coming weeks. Until then, fans can catch The Cat Empire performing with the Choir and Sydney Symphony Orchestra at Sydney’s Opera House on Thursday 27, Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August.
Then the ensemble heads to Canberra for two shows with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra at Llewellyn Hall on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September, followed by a concert with the Tasmania Symphony Orchestra at Hobart’s MyState Bank Arena on Friday 25 September.
The new dates are rounded out by two shows with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra at Thebarton Theatre in Adelaide on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October, before they wrap things up in their hometown of Melbourne at Sidney Myer Music Bowl with the Gondawan National Choirs and Orchestra Victoria on Friday 16 January 2027.
