Final release tickets for the 2026 Coriole Music Festival are on sale now, with punters advised to get in quick before they sell out.

Presented by the McLaren Vale Music Festival Association (MVMFA), Coriole Music Festival combines the world’s best chamber music with SA’s finest food and wine at Coriole Vineyards in McLaren Vale on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026.

Recognised as South Australia’s leading chamber music festival, the event enters a new era this year, with Artistic Director Kate Suthers curating her inaugural program centring around the idea of “beginnings”, which has been well received by audiences.

“It’s wonderful to receive such a warm response to the program from audiences. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone in May to the Fleurieu Peninsula for a celebration of chamber music, connection and community in the beautiful vineyards at Coriole”, said Suthers.

“It’s exciting that the festival is shaping up to be a complete sell-out. I’m thrilled that the festival is shaping up to be a complete sell-out. I’m thrilled there is such demand for tickets. The weekend, and the music from old to very new, will contain discoveries and demand curiosity.”

Highlights of this year’s program include the festival debuts of London violist Richard Waters and Berlin cellist Martin Smith, the premiere of Australian composer Belinda Gehlert’s Stellar and Anne Cawrse’s This Too Shall Pass and a performance of one of American composer John Adams’ earliest works, Shaker Loops, featuring Kate Suthers (violin), Alison Heike (violin), Richard Waters (viola), Gemma Phillips (cello) and Damien Eckersly (double bass).

Coriole Vineyards Head Chef Patricia Streckfuss is in charge of the culinary offerings, with all meals paired with a range of award-winning Coriole wines.

According to MVMFA Board Member Tim Lloyd, the Coriole Music Festival is a not-for-profit event run by volunteers and sustained by donors, sponsorships, grants and a loyal audience.

“We have developed a not-for-profit event that has run for many years producing a world-class chamber music festival. This is credit to a passionate community of supporters who bring Coriole Music Festival to life each year. We are grateful for the continued support and look forward to the 2026 festival”, Tim Lloyd said.

A wonderful celebration of chamber music and South Australian food and wine, Coriole Music Festival is shaping up as an enjoyable two days in the picturesque McLaren Vale.

Coriole Music Festival takes place at Coriole Vineyards in McLaren Vale on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026. Final tickets on sale now via coriolemusicfestival.com.
