Just like our own John Farnham, The Animals can’t seem to stay away from touring. After announcing The Final Curtain Tour, which was billed as the band’s final ever Australian tour last year, The Animals have revealed they are heading back in 2026 on The House of the Rising Sun Tour.
The Animals have locked in 16 dates across November and December where they will treat fans to all their biggest hits, including ‘We Gotta Get Out Of This Place’, ‘Boom Boom’, ‘Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’, ‘It’s My Life’ and their #1 worldwide smash, ‘House of The Rising Sun’, which is also the name of the tour.
The lineup for the tour features original member John Steel alongside Danny Handley, Barney Williams and Norman Helm.
The Animals The House of the Rising Sun Tour kicks off with two shows at The Bridge Hotel in Rozelle on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November. The band then plays shows in Wyong, Canberra, Thirroul, Marrickville, Tweed Heads, Brisbane, Bendigo, Wendouree, Launceston, Hobart, Burnie and Adelaide, with the final date at Perth’s Regal Theatre on Friday 4 December.
Pre-sale tickets are available on Wednesday 18 February at 10:00am AEDT. Register here. General on-sale takes place on Friday 20 February at 10:00am AEDT via metropolistouring.com.

The Animals became one of the biggest bands on the planet during the ‘60s. They were the second British act to top the American charts after the Beatles with their smash hit, ‘House of the Rising Sun’, going on to release three albums in the UK and five in the US.
After consecutive years touring Australia and performing to sold-out crowds, The Animals can’t stay away, with The House of the Rising Sun Tour shaping as their best yet.
