Blues in the Vines on Track to Break Attendance Records

Blues in the Vines is on track to break attendance records in 2026.

At a time when many larger festivals are struggling, smaller, boutique musical festivals like Blues in the Vines are thriving.

This year's festival is not only back in the heart of the Barossa Valley, but is also expanding into McLaren Vale for the first time, with more than 50% of tickets sold for the new locatoin.

Taking over Richard Hamilton Wines in McLaren Vale on Saturday 3 October and Tim Smith Wines in the Barossa on Sunday 4 October, this year's festival features a dynamic lineup of national and local blues, roots and soul artists.

This year’s expanded program is headlined by globetrotting New South Welshman Frank Sultana, who took out the 2023 Memphis International Blues Challenge.

He'll be joined by Melbourne’s soul-infused blues performer Jesse Valach, talented Australian/Tongan artist ISEULA, the dynamic Blues Roulette and South Australia’s own blues, funk and soul outfit The Honey Badgers.

Blues in the Vines offers something different for both music and wine lovers in intimate settings in two of SA’s most beautiful regions.

“Blues in the Vines is about connection — to great music, great wine, and the incredible landscape of South Australia’s wine country,” says festival organisers. “It's an opportunity to experience outstanding live performances in one of Australia's most beautiful wine regions.”

Attendees can expect a twilight experience this year, cellar door access, gourmet food offerings and the chance to discover some of the country's finest blues talent while enjoying the hospitality of two of the most respected wineries.
