Kiwi indie outfit NO CIGAR are returning this September and October for their most expansive run of Aussie shows yet.

Just over 12 months since the release of their album Under the Surface, the band have this week revealed the support acts joining them on tour.

Indie rock group Tear Drive will be taking to the stage on the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Brisbane; surf rockers Cheeky Leash will play in Canberra, Wollongong and Manly; Run Ray Run are part of the Byron Bay bill; fellow New Zealand act Park RD will play with NO CIGAR in Sydney; atmospheric indie group The Satts will open things up in Melbourne, surf inspired rockers Willow Park will support in Perth and Lazy Haze will end the tour in Adelaide.

"This tour is our most ambitious yet. Coming off the back of a fruitful creative period, we're excited to bring a few new tunes to light and see how the Aussie audiences get around it," the band said. "We've collated a really strong lineup of local supports, with a slice of kiwi flavour sprinkled in for Sydney and Adelaide. Bring on spring!"

The tour kicks off at Pulse Bar on the Sunshine Coast on Thursday 10 September, followed by gigs at Byron Bay, Moonee Beach, Canberra, Wollongong, Manly, Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, finishing up on Saturday 24 October at Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide.

Tickets for all shows are on sale here.

New Zealand rock favourites, NO CIGAR have established a cult following in Australia, leading to their largest tour next month.

Made up of Willy Ferrier (lead vocals), Josh Morrice (guitar), Arthur Gillies (guitar), Sam Benson (bass) and Ned Gow (drums), the band exploded out of the gate with their 2020 EP Radical Road, following up two years later with their 2022 debut album, Bienvenido.

Album number two followed in 2023, The Great Escape, before last year's Under the Surface.
