Singer-songwriter Rhys Coventry has revealed plans for a national tour across June and July.
The 15-date odyssey marks Coventry’s first headline tour in over a year after a turbulent period of physical and financial struggles. Now refreshed and refulled, Coventry is excited to get back on the road and perform.
“Dear friends around Australia! WE’RE BACK!” he posted on social media. “I’m heading around the country for 15 shows, playing some of my favourite places in Aus, & after the much-needed hiatus to focus on my health. I seriously can’t wait to see y’all again.
“Thank yall for all the support over the past year, there were plenty of moments I didn’t think I’d be hitting the road again, but here we are!”
Coventry’s tour begins with three shows in Queensland at Miami Marketta on the Gold Coast on Thursday 5 June, Mirrorball Ministries in Brisbane on Friday 6 June and Roads Store on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday 7 June.
The troubadour then hits New South Wales for shows at the Central Coast’s House Show on Friday 12 June, Blue Mountains’ House Show on Saturday 13 June, Manly’s Manly Spirits on Sunday 14 June and Wollongong’s Society City on Friday 19 June, followed by Canberra’s Smiths Alternative on Saturday 20 June.
The tour continues with concerts at Melbourne’s Brunswick Artist Bar on Thursday 25 June, St Kilda’s The Epsy on Friday 26 June, Halls Gap’s Paper Scissors Rock on Saturday 27 June, Anglesea’s Grow on Sunday 28 June, Fremantle’s Livid Skate on Friday 3 July and Margaret River’s The River on Sunday 5 July, with the final show taking place in South Australia at Hither & Yon in the McLaren Vale on Saturday 11 July.

Hailing from Byron Bay, Rhys Coventry got his start busking before scoring support slots opening for the likes of Ziggy Alberts, Garrett Kato, Tom Harrington and the McCredie Brothers.
He released two EPs in 2023, small talk and daybreak, following up last year with the four-track release On the Run.
Living life on the road for the past four years, Coventry’s honest and raw songwriting has gained him fans across the nation, with his upcoming tour not to be missed for fans of folk.
