Two decades on since his last album, Pinky Beecroft (aka Matt Ford of Machine Gun Fellatio) returns with Lonesome Wolf, out Friday 14 August.

Having already offered a glimpse at what fans can expect via recent singles 'Band Of Gold' and the Ben Salter-penned 'My Heart Is In The Wrong Place', Beecroft has shared another single, 'I'll Be Alright'.

The track was co-written with his longtime friend Maree (aka The Widow Jones of MGF), who, he says, "has the uncanny ability to come up with the world's sweetest melodies. I hope this version does justice to her vision."

The acoustic ballad has a country tinge and is sure to appeal to fans of Beecroft, who have been waiting more than 20 years for new music.

Speaking on why he's finally returned after such a long hiatus, Beecroft says, "The obvious question is... why? That's the question I ask myself, a lot. And why now? Well, because I just made a record that I love. It doesn't happen very often to me - that things work out exactly the way I want, that the feel is right, the songs sound the way I imagined. This one feels very different - it's the record I've wanted to make, for a long time."
