Arising during the closing moments of a studio session with ARIA Award-winning producer Jamie Muscat (Chunkyluv), the song was born from what began as the outro of de la Rosa's most recent release, 'Glass Skin', with a spoken passage inspired by William Blake's A Poison Tree,
