Warpaint Announce New Live Album 'Artifact'

The album features live tracks recorded during shows played between 2022-24.

Four years on since the release of their last album Radiate Like This, Warpaint return with new live album Artifact, out Friday 11 December via Rough Trade Records.

The 16-track collection features the band's biggest hits and fan favourites captured from shows across North America, the UK and Europe supporting Radiate Like This, along with concerts celebrating the 15th anniversary of the band’s debut EP Exquisite Corpse and Warpaint's 20th anniversary.

The album includes Warpaint anthems such as 'Undertow', 'Love Is To Die' and 'So Good' that were recorded in cities including Houston, London, Porto, Dallas, Phoenix, Brussels, Amsterdam, Los Angeles and New York City.

"Listening back, we're very proud of the music we've created together, the connection between us and that there are people who enjoy our music and come to see us," the band add. "This collection is a snapshot of the sound and energy of our shows and an experience that we’ve felt so lucky to share."

Keen for fans to experience a taste of the album, Warpaint have shared live versions of 'Billie Holiday' (recorded in Phoenix) and 'New Song' (recorded in Dallas) that you can listen to below.

Formed in 2004, early versions of Warpaint featured actress Shannyn Sossamon and former Red Hot Chili Peppers member Josh Klinghoffer, before settling on the current lineup of Emily Kokal, Theresa Wayman, Jennylee Lindberg and Stella Mozgawa, who have been the creative force behind the band since 2010.

Across more than two decades, Warpaint have released four albums, breaking through in 2010 with their debut The Fool before gaining more commercial exposure with follow-up Warpaint four years later.

Heads Up arrived in 2016, followed by Radiate Like This in 2022, with Warpaint gaining a reputation for their art rock sound and engaging live performances.
