LA-based Australian singer-songwriter Jack Gray has shared new single 'Safe Space', the latest track taken from his upcoming debut album Swimming In Jeans, out Friday 11 September via Island Records Australia.

A riveting piano ballad that finds Gray pouring his heart out about losing trust in someone whom he cares for deeply, it reminds me a little of the UK's Lewis Capaldi.

"'Safe Space' is about the person who is supposed to be your person, the place where you can be most vulnerable and completely yourself, is being ripped from beneath you. It's about not feeling safe in that environment anymore and how tough that is," Gray explains.

Like the rest of the tracks on his debut, 'Safe Space' was produced and performed by Gray, with Swimming In Jeans written over the past three years and recorded across the last 12 months.

The album collects 12 tracks, including previous tracks 'Look At You', 'Dumb Shit', 'Drive Her Home', 'Bluffin', 'Tattoos' and 'Swimming In Jeans'.

Accompanying 'Safe Space' is a music video directed by Amanda Mickwee and produced by Jillian Shae Spaeder featuring dancers Samantha Bartow and Harley Grey.
