IDLES frontman Joe Talbot is the latest musician to launch his own podcast. Oh Gatekeeper with Joe Talbot is a weekly show featuring Talbot chatting with a diverse range of guests, from fellow musicians to artists and cultural figures.
The first episode of the podcast dropped on Tuesday (2 September) and features skateboarding legend Tony Hawk.
Other guests lined up to appear on the pod include the Strokes’ Julian Casablancas, rapper Danny Brown, producer Nigel Godrich and singer-songwriter Jehnny Beth. Also featuring are Peaches, Kenny Beats, Hak Baker, Lauren Mayberry, Baxter Dury and Laurie Vincent of Soft Play.
“Oh Gatekeeper is something I wanted to do for a long time. I want to suck the knowledge out of the people I look up to and love,” Talbot said via DORK. “I wanted to do something that lit a spark and encouraged people to find purpose to go out and make themselves. Finding your creative language is a beautiful way to connect with this universe. It saved my life and it saved so many of my friends’ lives.”
Oh Gatekeeper with Joe Talbot is available now.
