Soul and funk icons Kool & The Gang and Sister Sledge ft. Sledgendary have announced a co-headlining tour of Australia.

The two generational acts are performing across the country this November and December, performing all their biggest hits, including Kool & The Gang's 'Jungle Boogie', 'Ladies' Night' and Billboard Hot 100 #1 single and Grammy Hall of Fame inductee 'Celebration', and Sister Sledge ft. Sledgendary's iconic 'He's the Greatest Dancer', 'Thinking of You', 'Lost in Music' and Grammy Hall of Fame inductee 'We Are Family'.

The tour kicks off at Brisbane/Magandjin’s Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday 26 November, before hitting Sydney/Eora’s Tumbalong Park on Friday 27 November as part of Finely Tuned’s stacked FORMA Open-Air program. They’ll then venture to Melbourne/Naarm’s Festival Hall on Saturday 28 November, Adelaide/Tarntanya’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Monday 30 November and conclude in Perth/Boorloo’s Ice Cream Factory on Wednesday 2 December.

Pre-sale tickets are available from 10am AEST Thursday 30 July, with general on-sale taking place from 10am AEST Friday 31 July. Ticketing information is available at finelytuned.com.au.

Formed in New Jersey in the 1960s, R&B and funk group Kool & The Gang have had a slew of hits across their 60-year-plus career, including their chart-topping 1980 hit single 'Celebration'.

The most sampled R&B act of all time, embedded in iconic songs from Madonna, Erykah Badu, Jhené Aiko, Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Nas, The Prodigy, Aaliyah, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan and many more, Kool & The Gang have won two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards and were inducted into the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Also on the bill are disco meets R&B outfit Sister Sledge ft. Sledgendary, led by founding sister Debbie Sledge alongside the next generation of the family - Camille, David and Thaddeus Sledge, along with Tanya Ti-et. The Philly group, who formed in 1965, also had a stack of incredible hits and are excited to return to Australian shores this year.
