It's all happening for Melbourne's Windwaker, with the metalcore five-piece announcing the release of their third studio album, Smile You're on Camera, set for release on Friday 23 October via Civilians and Fearless Records.

Alongside the announcement, Windwaker have shared new single 'Closer' and revealed a run of Australian shows with support from American outfit The Pretty Wild, playing Australia for the first time, RinRin and DREGG.

"We are so excited to bring our new album to life on stages all around Australia," says vocalist Liam Guinane. "We’ve poured so much into this record, and we can’t wait to play these songs live for the very first time. We’re also so stoked to be bringing out The Pretty Wild for their Australian debut, along with a couple of our favourite Aussie artists. We hope to see you all there."

Windwaker kick things off in Perth at Magnet House on Friday 30 October, followed by gigs at The Gov in Adelaide on Sunday 1 November, Melbourne's Northcote Theatre on Monday 2 November, Sydney's Metro Theatre on Thursday 5 November and Newcastle's King Street on Friday 6 November, with the final concert taking place at The Tivoli in Brisbane on Saturday 7 November.

Pre-sale tickets are available from 12pm AEST Tuesday 28 July, followed by the general on-sale from 12pm AEST Wednesday 29 July. Ticketing information is available at destroyalllines.com.

Windwaker's tour kicks off one week after the release of smile, you’re on camera, which the band are excited to share with fans.

"smile, you’re on camera is undeniably our best and most focused collection of songs to date," the band say. "We learned so much making this record together, and we’re incredibly proud of what it’s become. It opens the door to who we are, and offers a glimpse into our world through the highs and the lows. It’s the most personal and honest Windwaker has ever been."

The record was co-written by the band with producer Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Dayseeker) in Los Angeles and arrives after what's been a massive year for Windwaker, who toured America for the first time and performed alongside My Chemical Romance, Dayseeker, Pierce The Veil and more at Sonic Temple Festival.

Catch Windwaker performing at The Gov on Sunday 1 November. Ticketing information at destroyalllines.com. Smile You're on Camera is out Friday 23 October via Civilians and Fearless Records. Pre-order here.
