Imminence Shares Two New Tracks From Upcoming Sixth Album 'Axis Mundi'
Following the release of the album's first single 'The Sword That Never Bends', new tracks 'False Light' and 'Crestfallen' offer listeners another insight into what to expect from Imminence's next chapter.

Fresh from performing to sold-out crowds across Australia in June, Swedish metalcore visionaries Imminence have shared two new singles from their upcoming sixth studio album, Axis Mundi, set for release on Friday 2 October via Sumerian Records.
Following the release of the album's first single, 'The Sword That Never Bends', new tracks 'False Light' and 'Crestfallen' offer listeners another insight into what to expect from Imminence's next chapter.
'False Light' is dynamic and menacing, with Eddie Berg’s rage-fuelled vocals joined by volatile instrumentation and delicate violin lines. The track is accompanied by a cinematic music video directed by Pavel Trebukhin that adds to the medieval arc of the band's new record.
'Crestfallen' is more of a cinematic track, with sweeping orchestration, tempting violin arrangements, and Berg's clean vocals at the centre.
"Duality has always been at the heart of Imminence. Our musical expression is a conversation between darkness and light, violence and beauty, despair and hope," shares guitarist Harald Barrett. "'False Light' and 'Crestfallen' embody those opposing forces more clearly than anything we've released before. They're radically different in sound and emotion, but together they tell a single story. That's why it felt important to present them side by side as we unveil Axis Mundi. Our new album is not meant to be experienced from one perspective alone. It's a journey through every extreme that defines what Imminence is, and these two songs are the perfect gateway into that world."
Imminence's most ambitious work yet, Axis Mundi was self-produced by the band alongside engineer Henrik Udd (Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, Dayseeker) and producer Drew Fulk (Twenty One Pilots, Knocked Loose, HEALTH) and continues their mythological worldbuilding.

The current lineup of vocalist and violist Eddie Berg, rhythm guitarist Harald Barrett, lead guitarist Alex Arnoldsson and bassist Christian Höijer have gained a reputation for symphonic metalcore expressions and visceral live shows.
