Holding Absence Reveal Stepson as Australian Tour Support
The Welsh rock trio will also be joined on the road by Cali metalcore outfit Kingdom of Giants.

Welsh rockers Holding Absence have added emo upstarts Stepson to their upcoming Australian tour.
Having already announced Cali metalcore outfit Kingdom of Giants as the main tour support, Stepson have now been added to the stacked bill.
The tour arrives as Holding Absence gear up for the release of their next album, Modern Life Is Lonely, with the band sharing their first singles in three years, ‘Whisper of a Dream’ and ‘Reflection’.
Holding Absence’s Aussie jaunt commences in Brisbane at The Princess Theatre on Friday 14 August. Dates follow at Sydney’s Liberty Hall on Saturday 15 August, 170 Russell in Melbourne on Sunday 16 August and Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Wednesday 19 August, with things wrapping up on Thursday 20 August at Perth’s Magnet House.

Rising like a phoenix from the ashes of Oceans Apart in 2015, Holding Absence got a lot of early buzz with a run of hot singles and an acclaimed EP before dropping their self-titled debut album in 2019.
Despite the current lineup featuring no original members, Holding Absence have continued to grow their fanbase with their modern post-hardcore sound and high-energy live shows.
Their upcoming tour coincides with the release of their new album Modern Life Is Lonely, with Aussie fans being some of the first in the world to hear tracks from the album live this August.
