Sydney punk rockers Hellions are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their seminal third album, Opera Oblivia, with a national tour, performing the album in full.
The 10-track release peaked at #4 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It was widely praised by the local music press, with Hysteria Mag calling Opera Oblivia Hellions’ “Nevermind, their Rocket to Russia, their Number of the Beast.”
Just weeks out from the tour, which features the core lineup reunited, Hellions have announced they will be supported by Newcastle’s punk pop quartet The Beautiful Monument and Perth’s emerging singer-songwriter RinRin.
Hellions’ 10th anniversary album tour commences in Melbourne at Max Watts on Thursday 7 May. Dates follow at Adelaide’s The Gov on Friday 8 May, Fremantle’s Freo.Social on Saturday 9 May, Sydney’s Liberty Hall on Thursday 14 May and Brisbane’s The Triffid on Friday 15 May, with the final gig at the Coolangatta Hotel on the Gold Coast on Saturday 16 May.

Pairing post-hardcore aggression with melodic alt-rock, Hellions made a name for themselves in Australia’s alternative scene.
Comprised of Dre Faivre, Matthew Gravolin, Anthony Caruso and Josh Campiao, the group formed in 2013 and gained a reputation for their high-energy gigs, selling out shows across Australia, the UK and Europe.
Coming to national attention in 2016 with their ARIA charting third album, Opera Oblivia, Hellions followed up in 2018 with their ambitious fourth record, Rue.
