LA-based Aussie Georgia Maq is returning home for a run of intimate shows next month.
The former member of Camp Cope has been settled in the US since her former band disbanded, releasing her debut album Pleaser in 2019 and follow-up EP God’s Favourite last year.
Earlier this year, Maq released the double single ‘Tropical Lush Ice / 10 Drunk Cigarettes’. Posting about the songs on Instagram, Maq wrote, “Life is a crazy mystery, it’s uncertain and there’s a lot of ups and downs and many lonely nights of self-doubt and scepticism, but being able to make music and art with the people I love makes me feel like I’ve already won. Thank you.”
Maq’s upcoming Alive & Well Tour kicks off at Lion Arts Factory on Wednesday 20 May and continues with dates at Sydney’s Crowbar on Thursday 21 May, Brisbane’s Crowbar on Friday 22 May and Hobart’s Altar Bar on Wednesday 27 May, wrapping up at Melbourne’s The Tote on Friday 29 May.

Georgia Maq is best known for her time with Camp Cope, the punk rock trio she formed in Melbourne with Sarah Thompson and Kelly-Dawn Helmrich.
Together for eight years, Camp Cope released several EPs and live records, along with three acclaimed studio albums: Camp Cope (2016), How To Socialise and Make Friends (2018) and Running With the Hurricane (2022).
Since the band went their separate ways in 2023, Maq has moved to Los Angeles and released a slew of new music, including last year’s God's Favourite EP.
