Fred Again… is in Australia for a surprise show at the Sydney Opera House.

After days of teasing on social media, Fred Again... is back Down Under and playing a secret show at the Syndey Opera House tonight. Currently on sale via the Sydney Opera House website, demand for tickets has already seen the website crash, while the waiting list to purchase tickets is over 100,000 people at the time of writing. The chaos caused is akin to Taylor Swift mania, with everybody trying to get their hands on a ticket. Via his Instagram stories, Fred Again… has revealed the show is “super last minute” and will be a stripped-down version of his normal DJ set. There will no light show, just one small screen and “me and Tony and maybe the world’s most beautiful venue.”Secret shows aren’t anything new for the British DJ, who played an impromptu show at Melbourne’s The Forum last year, with tickets selling out in less than a minute. He also played two sold-out shows at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion and the Enmore Theatre, along with drawing the biggest crowds to his Laneway Festival 2023 shows. The biggest question now is whether more shows will be announced, and if they are, what cities will he play in. We find it hard to believe Fred Again... is flying all this way for one show, although it would be on brand for the Secret Life artist. If more shows are announced, they’ll most likely include dates in Sydney and Melbourne, although fingers crossed he decides to take a trip to Adelaide. Tickets for Fred Again... at the Sydney Opera House are currently on sale via the Sydney Opera House website. Good luck securing a ticket! The campaign is all about getting more people to listen to Aussie music.
