Ahead of the release of #1 Dads' forthcoming new album, Every Little Fire, out Friday 16 October via Pieater, the project's London-based creator Tom Iansek has revealed he's returning home for a run of Australian shows.

Announcing 17 intimate solo gigs, including a stack of regional shows, Iansek will perform tracks from his new record alongside songs from #1 Dads' deep discography.

An elated Iansek shares, "As you may already know, I moved to the UK a few years ago, but I have thoroughly missed Australia, and I have really missed being on the road. I've missed the pre-show nerves, chatting to people after shows, the Hume, coffee and car tunes, finding the best place to eat.

"This tour is special as I'll be performing by myself, which is fairly new to me and certainly new to #1 Dads. The beauty of this means that I can take the show well off the beaten path, which you can see from all the amazing regional dates. I’m so stoked to be performing all of these shows, playing some new tunes from the album (along with some classics), and I hope you can make it along to one. There’ll be an array of merch too, which has all been designed by me."

Every Little Fire arrives after several monumental years for Iansek, which have seen him move to the UK, start a family and begin a new life from scratch. "It was not an easy thing to do," Iansek says. "It has been an insane, wonderful, chaotic, intense and joyful period of my life."

#1 Dads' Australian tour begins at the Mapleton Pub on Kabi Kabi Land/Sunshine Coast on Thursday 22 October and continues with concerts across Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania, Victoria, the ACT and South Australia, before the final show at Mojo's on Saturday 28 November in Walyalup/Fremantle.

Tickets go on sale at 10am Thursday 6 August via musicyourdadsmake.com.

Melbourne-born, London-based Tom Iansek has been making music for more than two decades. First finding fame as one-half of the multi-award-winning Big Scary and No Mono, he's also a well-respected producer who has worked with Kate Miller-Heidke, The Paper Kites, Lisa Mitchell and more.

Going solo in 2010 under the moniker #1 Dads, Iansek has released three albums: 2011’s Man of Leisure, 2014’s ARIA-nominated About Face and 2020’s Golden Repair.

Bringing his new album Every Little Fire down under this October and November, marking his first run of local shows in several years, tickets are sure to sell out, so be sure to grab yours this Thursday.
