Ecca Vandal is well and truly back and ready to take over if her new single ‘MOLLY’ is anything to go by.
A foot-stomping punk rock pop crossover with a Stroke-esque chorus, this track combines multiple genres into one fulfilling sonic boom. It’s another showcase of the Sri Lankan, South African-born, Melbourne-based artist who's been building a solid collection of tracks over the past year that includes the singles ‘CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE’, ‘BLEED BUT NEVER DIE’ and ‘THEN THERE’S ONE’.
Speaking about ‘MOLLY’, Ecca shares, “There’s the surface meaning, the chaos, the high, that kind of bliss that comes from forgetting things for a while, from turning the volume down on the world. But underneath all that, there’s something quieter going on – the feeling of being cut down, sometimes broken into pieces, and then slowly finding your way back, getting up again, rebuilding yourself bit by bit.”
The track is accompanied by a music video directed by Ecca and Richie Buxton, with the pair behind all of the visuals released for Ecca’s recent songs.

Beginning her early years as a jazz musician, Ecca Vandal fell in love with the DIY side of things and began crafting songs that weave together punk, hip-hop, jazz, soul, trip-hop, and electronic influences into a dynamic sound uniquely hers.
Her 2017 self-titled debut album arrived to critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone awarding the release 4.5 stars while NME called it a collection of “absolutely banging, genre-bending anthems.”
Ecca is currently on the road and will take to the stage at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Festival this weekend before making her Coachella debut in April 2026. She’s also got a run of shows lined up supporting Limp Bizkit across South America and several European dates as she continues to work on new music and hopefully, a new album.
