Stranger Things actor Joe Keery has shared a new single from his musical project, Djo. ‘Basic Being Basic’ is taken from the actor and singer’s forthcoming new album, The Crux, which arrives April 4 via AWAL.
“It’s kind of a shot fired to anyone who’s trying to be of the moment,” Keery says of the delightful synth ditty that sees him yearning for a more authentic life.
The Crux was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York and co-produced by Keery and Adam Thein. The album is Keery’s third under the Djo moniker, following 2022’s Decide and 2019’s Twenty Twenty.
