Concrete Surfers Drop Debut Album, Announce National Tour
The Brisbane outfit kick of their tour in Adelaide this week.

After a decade spent touring the country, selling out shows and supporting major artists, Brisbane's Concrete Surfers have finally dropped their self-titled debut album.
Comprising 12 rock-influenced indie tracks, the album is chock-full of punchy riffs, relatable lyrics and the band's raw, early '90s grunge sound.
Recorded with Colby Robertson last year, Concrete Surfers spent time away at Airlock Studios and on a farm at Swanpond Studios refining their debut, with the isolation helping them curate an album that best defines who they are.
"We spent a lot of time making sure the writing was spot on so we could rehearse as much as possible before going into the studio," the band shared in a statement. "Recording everything live in the room together really works for us, and we wanted to make sure it was as tight as possible."
Taking their debut on the road, Concrete Surfers kick off their national tour this Thursday 13 August in Adelaide at the Ed Castle. The lads then drop by Melbourne's Leadbeater Hotel on Friday 14 August, followed by Sydney's Botany View Hotel on Friday 21 August, Wollongong's Dicey Riley's Hotel on Saturday 22 August, Newcastle's Kings Street on Sunday 23 August and Byron Bay's The Northern on Thursday 27 August, with the final gig a hometown show in Brizzy at Black Bear Lodge on Friday 28 August.

Often called one of the country's hardest-working bands, Concrete Surfers' debut is a long time coming from twin brothers Jovi and Jamie Brook, alongside long-time friends Sean Foster and Trent Courtenay.
Since emerging in 2015, they have garnered over 4 million Spotify streams, played hundreds of gigs and supported the likes of Royal Blood, Spacey Jane, Dune Rats, WAVVES and many more.
