As Cavetown preps the release of his new album Running With Scissors, which arrives on Friday 19 January (pre-order/pre-save here), the UK producer and singer-songwriter has shared the single ‘Sailboat’.
A collaboration with Chloe Moriondo featuring production from Underscores, ‘Sailboat’ is a joyous genre-bender with fuzzy guitars and sugary synths exploring first love.
Taking to Instagram to announce the track, Cavetown posted: “‘Sailboat’ is out now!! I’m so proud of this killer song I made with one of my best friends @chloemoriondo. My band and I are suffering trying to learn it for the live set at the moment, but it’s GOING TO RIP!! Thank you to my inspiration @underscores for glittering this up - it was so awesome to work with you and see your ideas come together.”
The track is accompanied by a music video directed by Zack Shorrosh that features Cavetown and Moriondo getting silly on the Coney Island Boardwalk. Check it out below.
