Renowned British singer-songwriter Ben Howard has announced he’s heading Down Under next year for a highly anticipated May 2024 tour, stopping at major Australian cities Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, as well as Adelaide.
The tour is in celebration of his fifth studio album Is It?, a venture into experimental pop that marks a significant evolution for the artist. Having garnered critical acclaim for his triple platinum debut album Every Kingdom, released in 2011, Howard has continually pushed boundaries in his music. His journey through acoustic soundscapes and electronic experimentation, in his latest record, has solidified the artist’s reputation as one of the UK’s most unpredictable artists. Is It?, which dropped June 2023, presents a new chapter in Howard’s musical exploration. Recorded in ten days at the Le Manoir de Léon studios in the South of France, the record is a lush and sonically splintered album that captures him moving through some intense moments. The result is one of Howard’s most upbeat and uplifting records to date – and now, Australia gets to experience it live alongside songs from his celebrated back catalogue.  Described by The Times as ‘spellbinding’ and ‘transcendental’, Howard’s intense live shows, elevated by an expansive band, promises to captivate and mesmerise audiences across the country. The tour kicks off May 22, 2024, in Perth, before heading to Adelaide on May 24, 2024 for a show at Hindley Street Music Hall. From there, the award-winning musician will play Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Presale is available from 9am local time Thursday 14 December. Tickets go on sale to the general public from 9am local time Friday 15 December.BEN HOWARD - AUSTRALIAN TOUR DATES
