After another awesome performance at the AFL Grand Final over the weekend, proud Yolŋu artist Baker Boy has announced an Australian tour in support of his sophomore album, DJANDJAY (pre-order/pre-save here).
Arriving Friday 10 October via Island Records Australia, DJANDJAY was named after Baker Boy’s late grandmother and the Yolŋu spirit guide she shares a name with and highlights his growth as an artist.
Baker Boy’s DJANDJAY Tour begins with two festival appearances at Perth Festival on Saturday 21 February and Adelaide’s WOMADelaide (Sunday 8 March), making him the first act announced for the annual world music festival.
Baker Boy then performs headline shows at King St Bandroom in Mulubinba/Newcastle (Thursday 9 April), Liberty Hall in Warrane/Sydney (Friday 10 April), The Triffid at Meanjin/Brisbane (Saturday 11 April), The Cooly Hotel in Cullunghutti/Coolangatta (Sunday 12 April), The Barwon Club in Koornoo/Barwon Heads (Friday 17 April) and Northcote Theatre in Naarm/Melbourne (Saturday 18 April).
The final two dates of the tour are in the Northern Territory at Mayberry in Gulumoerrgin/Darwin (Friday 1 May) and Alice Springs Brewing Co in Mparntwe/Alice Springs on Saturday 2 May.

Inspired by his culture and demonstrating Baker Boy’s growth both as an artist and a man, DJANDJAY brings together 15 tracks, including ‘THICK SKIN’ and the previously released singles ‘LIGHTNING’, ‘PEACEKEEPER’ and ‘FREAKOUT’.
“This is my strongest, most powerful work yet,” says Baker Boy. “Pip and Rob gave me the space to be honest — to share my message without fear. Having them there was like a protective shield. It let me get vulnerable and real.”
Catch Baker Boy performing at WOMADelaide on Sunday 8 March. Early bird tickets to the festival are on sale now via womadelaide.com.au. DJANDJAY arrives on October 10 via Island Records and Universal Music. Pre-order/pre-save here.
