Aussie supergroup Australian Rock Collective (ARC) have announced a new tour, performing the Eagles’ iconic album Hotel California in full to mark its 50th anniversary.
Released in 1976, Hotel California was a critical and commercial success, topping the charts across the globe and winning the Eagles two Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Arrangement for Voices. The album produced some of the Eagles’ biggest hits, including ‘New Kid in Town’, ‘Life in the Fast Lane’ and album opener, ‘Hotel California’.
Comprising four living legends in Australian rock music history – Kram (Spiderbait), Darren Middleton (Powderfinger), Mark Wilson (Jet) and Davey Lane (You Am I) – ARC are performing Hotel California alongside the Eagles’ biggest hits across the country this June.
Speaking on the tour, Lane said, “Strap yourselves in and be our esteemed guests as we set the controls for the heart of the sunny Californian state, the spirit of ‘76 and one of the greatest selling albums of all time - The Eagles’ Hotel California.
“It’s incredibly precise and loose, fast and easy (seemingly) - we’re not shy of challenging ourselves and this could be the most challenging yet. We’ve been very lucky to grace some of the greatest Australian venues and concert halls over the last seven years we’ve annually done this and we’re limbering up for this to be the biggest tour yet. We might even grow moustaches especially for the occasion!”
The tour commences at Hotel Brunswick in Brunswick Heads on Friday 5 June and continues with shows in Brisbane, Newcastle, Thirroul, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, coming to an end at the Astor Theatre in Perth on Wednesday 24 June.
My Live Nation pre-sale runs from 10am AEDT Friday 13 March to 10am AEDT Monday 16 March. Register here. General on sale kicks off at 11am AEDT on Monday 16 March via livenation.com.au.

The four greats who make up Australian Rock Collective have a combined total of 33 ARIA Awards and 16 Top Ten albums between them, with Jet and You Am I also having been added to the ARIA Hall of Fame.
Formed in 2014 when the four were asked to perform at the World Cup in Brazil, Kram, Middleton, Wilson and Lane have continued to jam together and toured the country performing classic albums such as Abbey Road, Let It Be, Harvest, Dark Side Of The Moon and Led Zeppelin IV.
With a tour by the Eagles unlikely to happen anytime soon, this is your chance to witness one of the legendary albums of the ‘70s performed live by some of Australia’s greatest musicians.
