Following the release of his introspective single ‘falling under’, Adelaide’s Allday is back with another new track, the melodic late-night jam ‘peroxide’.
This one has auto-tuned vocals, banging bass and snapping snares, with Allday’s hypnotic vocals weaving through the gloomy production.
“‘peroxide’ is something I made during one of those moments of clarity when you decide to fix your whole life,” Allday explains. “So ‘cleaning up with peroxide’ is supposed to mean properly cleaning up. I listen to it a lot in the car and don't get sick of it so I decided to put it out.”
The release of ‘peroxide’ comes as Allday prepares for a run of regional headline shows across Queensland and New South Wales.
Allday’s whirlwind August tour begins at Kings Beach Tavern in Caloundra on Thursday 21 August, continuing with dates at Cleveland’s Sands Hotel on Friday 22 August, Byron Bay’s Beach Hotel on Saturday 23 August and Wollongong’s Uni Bar on Friday 29 August, coming to an end at Newcastle’s King Street Hotel on Saturday 30 August.
Tickets for all five shows are on sale now via alldaytunes.com.
