Melbourne musical exports Air Supply return to Australia and New Zealand this December to celebrate 50 years of making music and performing live.

Formed in 1975 by English singer-songwriter and guitarist Graham Russell and Australian singer Russell Hitchcock, Air Supply took the soft rock world by storm with a string of huge chart hits.

Their return comes after they sold out five shows across Australia last year, with both Hitchcock and Russell excited to come home and play for their fans.

“It means the world to us to celebrate our 50th Anniversary by performing in our homeland of Australia,” said Russell Hitchcock. Added Graham Russell, “On our 50th year as Air Supply, nothing will make us prouder than coming back to the place where it all began!”

Air Supply’s 50th anniversary tour begins on the Gold Coast at The Star on Thursday 3 December. The band then plays the Sounds of Rock Festival in Wollongong on Saturday 5 December, followed by dates at Perth’s PCEC Riverside Theatre on Tuesday 8 December, Adelaide’s AEC Arena on Thursday 10 December and Newcastle’s Entertainment Centre on Saturday 12 December, with the final concert in New Zealand at Auckland’s The Civic on Tuesday 15 December.

Pre-sale begins at 12pm AEST on Wednesday 10 June. Use the code LOVE here. General on-sale takes place at 12pm AEST on Thursday 11 June via davidroywilliams.com.

For half a century, Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock have been honing their craft, transforming Air Supply into one of Australia’s most successful musical exports.

Hit single ‘Lost in Love’ helped Air Supply break out in 1979, with the track going on to be named Song of the Year in 1980. The band’s albums Lost in Love, The One That You Love, Now & Forever and The Greatest Hits have sold in excess of 40 million copies.

Air Supply’s catalogue is stacked with hits, including ‘Love and Other Bruises’, ‘All Out Of Love’, ‘The One That You Love’ and ‘Lost In Love’, which fans can hear this December.
