Timmy Trumpet Returns With New Album 'Revelations'

The album lands ahead of Timmy's return to Australia for Hypersonic festival this November.

Aussie muso, DJ and songwriter Timmy Trumpet returns today with new album REVELATIONS, his most personal release yet.

The 15-track collection of songs explores heartbreak and healing, revealing a vulnerable side to Timmy that's usually overshadowed by his larger-than-life on-stage personality.

"This is not the album anyone will expect from me. This is the album I needed to make for myself," Timmy explains.

Arriving six years after his debut album, Mad World, Timmy's latest LP was written during the hardest year of his life after the end of a long-term relationship.

The turning point came in the studio with co-producer Mike Hawkins, when early one morning, Timmy finally opened up about the pain he was going through, asking: "Will I be alright? Am I ever going to get past this pain?"

This led the duo to ditch almost 30 tracks they had written and refocus, with 'Will I Be Alright?' written the following day in a matter of hours. More songs followed, as did the collaborations, with Timmy working with the likes of Winona Oak, Moa Lisa, John Martin, Bradeazy, Alle Farben, Frank Walker and Jethro, while ZEDD stepped behind a live drum kit to record real drums on 'Dancing On The Edge'.

"This album saved me. It became my therapy," says Timmy. "The whole experience was a constant series of revelations. The deeper I dug into my own pain, the more I discovered about myself. Every day I was revealing something new about who I am, how I feel, who I want to be and where I go from here. I had to learn how to love myself again, how to stand on my own two feet and how to accept that the rest of my life wasn't going to look the way I'd imagined it would on the day I said 'I do' forever."

Classically trained as a jazz musician and named Young Musician of the Year in Australia at just 13, Timmy Trumpet began his career playing with the Stafford Brothers before going solo in 2014 with his breakthrough hit 'Freaks', a collaboration with Kiwi rapper Savage that has garnered over 1 billion streams.

Timmy is now an award-winning, multi-platinum artist with over 5 billion streams who has collaborated with everyone from Armin van Buuren and Robin Schulz to Hardwell and Afrojack, along with performing at the biggest dance festivals on the planet, including his iconic Tomorrowland set.

Releasing his debut album Mad World in 2020, REVELATIONS continues Timmy's evolution as an artist and is full of bangers sure to soundtrack the Aussie summer.
