Aussie punk rock legends the Hard-Ons are embarking on a national tour next year with hardcore punk royalty Jerry A of iconic US outfit Poison Idea on lead vocals.

The announcement follows the release of the Hard-Ons and Jerry A's collaborative album Hard-Ons/Jerry A, which dropped in August of this year via Cheersquad Records & Tapes in Australia and NZ and American Leather for the rest of the world.

Of the collaboration, Blackie from the Hard-Ons says, "We toured and collaborated a few times before and always talked about getting serious... well, here's the start of that. Hard-Ons with Jerry A!! It's happening."

Both bands share a long and storied history that intertwines over the years, with the two first recording together in 1993 when Jerry A was a guest vocalist on a Hard-Ons track.

The tour begins at Link & Pin in Woy Woy on Thursday 4 March, followed by dates at Adelaide's Ed Castle on Friday 5 March, Perth's Milk Bar on Saturday 6 March, Margaret River's The River on Sunday 7 March and Canberra's Dissent on Wednesday 10 March.

The Hard-Ons and Jerry A then play three gigs in Victoria at Geelong's Barwon Club on Thursday 11 March, Melbourne's The Tote on Friday 12 March and Frankston's Singing Bird on Saturday 13 March, before dropping into Hobart's Altar on Sunday 14 March, followed by dates at Newcastle's The Hamo on Thursday 18 March and Sydney's Paddo RSL on Friday 19 March. The tour wraps up in Queensland with shows at Vinnies Dive on the Gold Coast on Saturday 20 March and Brisbane's The Brightside on Sunday 21 March.

Tickets for all shows are on sale here.

Formed in 1982, the Hard-Ons have established themselves as one of the country's great punk acts, with the new lineup of original members Peter "Blackie" Black (guitar) and Ray Ahn (bass/backing vocals), alongside drummer Murray Ruse, entering a new era with Jerry A on vocals.

Having first toured with Jerry A's Poison Idea in the '80s and shared not only a mutual history but also a significant level of influence in the world of punk rock, it makes perfect sense for the Hard-Ons and Jerry A to come together, release new music and tour.

Don't miss your chance to see hardcore punk legends the Hard-Ons and Jerry A when they bring the noise across Australia in March 2027.

Catch the Hard-Ons with Jerry A at Ed Castle on Friday 5 March. Tickets on sale at moshtix.com.au.
