Voting Is Officially Open for triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2025
Have your say on the best songs of 2025.
It’s been a big year in music, and now is the time to let the world know your favourite tracks of 2025, with voting for triple j’s Hottest 100 officially open. Head to abc.net.au to vote now.
Next year’s countdown follows the record-breaking 2025 Hottest 100 and the station’s special edition of the Hottest 100 of Australian Songs, with more than 5 million votes and over $400,000 raised for We Are Mobilise. The charity is best known for its impactful and innovative work tackling homelessness and is once again partnering with triple j for the countdown. The important dates for next year’s countdown are below.
Thursday 15 January 2026 5pm AEDT: Voting Closes
Saturday 24 January - triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2025 from 12pm AEDT. Join us for the nationwide listening party as we count down your favourite songs of the year live around the country
Sunday 25 January - Recover with Double J as we relive the Hottest 100 of 2005. Listen on DAB+, or on the triple j or ABC listen app.
Tuesday 27 January - Friday 30 January – triple j’s Hottest 200 of 2025, with 20 songs a day from 8am and 4pm
Saturday 31 January 10am Local Time – triple j’s Hottest 200 of 2025 in full

Some of Australia’s biggest artists and triple j personalities have had their say on who they think will take out the top spot of the countdown, with Baker Boy and The Terrys backing Keli Holiday’s ‘Dancing2’, and PinkPantheress, triple j’s Abby Butler and Lucy Smith getting behind Ninajirachi. We Are Mobilise champion and running superstar Nedd Brockman is riding for Dom Dolla’s ‘Dreamin’, and 5SOS have locked in ‘You’re A Star’, the collab from Fred Again and Amyl & The Sniffers.
The 2024 countdown broke all kinds of records, with Chappel Roan’s ‘Good Luck Babe’ scoring the most votes ever for a #1, Royel Otis’ Like A Version taking out the #2 spot and Billie Eilish and Charli XCX having the most single entries of all time.
The triple j Hottest 100 countdown takes place on Saturday 24 January at 12pm AEDT. You can vote for your favourite songs via the triple j website or the triple j app.
The new version of the track is dedicated to her young son.
The annual festival has been cancelled just weeks before it was set to commence over the Easter long weekend.
