After a period of inactivity, dreampop artist Vera Blue returned in 2025 with two sublime new singles, ‘In the Corer’ and ‘Parallel Desire’. Several months later and she’s back with more new music in the form of the the feel good dance track ‘Go Lucky’.
The latest taste of Vera’s upcoming third album, ‘Go Lucky’ was one of the first collaborations between the artist and acclaimed producers and songwriters Jono Ma (Flight Facilities, The Avalanches) and Chris Collins (Matt Corby). The track also features award-winning engineer Eric J Dubowsky (Tame Impala, Dua Lipa), who helped bring the good vibe energy of ‘Go Lucky’ to life in the studio.
Vera Blue shares, “From the beginning we knew it needed to feel like a nostalgic ‘90s dance-inspired, feel-good track that lifts you the moment it starts. The kind of beat that reminds you that freedom is a feeling you can create for yourself.
“I adored stacking vocals to create an euphoric choir-like chant, and we noticed a bird singing outside the studio so loudly that we recorded it and included it in the track - you can hear it especially in the intro and outro. This song has so much quirk and character, which I feel mirrors my own personality and brings out of me when I hear it.”
‘Go Lucky’ is about embracing the challenge of life, taking your destiny into your own hands and choosing love.
“It’s a reminder that luck doesn’t define you… You define you, and when you’re surrounded by the right love, you can go even higher,” says Vera. “It’s me learning to trust the leap, dance through the chaos, and celebrate the feeling of being completely, unapologetically alive. It’s an anthem for anyone learning to trust their own momentum, embrace the people who elevate them, and move through the world with fearless joy.”
