Post Malone Postpones Australian Tour

Bad news for Post Malone fans: the global superstar has postponed his upcoming Australian tour.

Along with the headline dates he'd locked in for October, the rapper turned country singer won't be appearing at Strummingbird Festival either.

Those who purchased tickets to the headline shows will receive a full refund, while Strummingbird Festival are giving people the option of keeping their ticket or getting a refund.

Punters who no longer want to attend Strummingbird can request a refund. All they need to do is log into their Moshtix account before 5pm AEST Thursday 3 September and follow the instructions. No requests will be processed after that date.

While it sucks, Strummingbird Festival has replaced Posty with three incredible Australian talents: James Johnston will perform at all three legs of the festival, Tyler Childers takes on Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast and Sam Barber lands in Ballarat.

They will be joined by more than 20 artists, including Bailey Zimmerman, Cooper Alan, Stella Lefty, Dexter & The Moonrocks and plenty more.

Strummingbird Festival released a statement regarding Posty's cancellation and the new additions you can read below:

"We’re gutted to let you know that Post Malone will no longer be headlining Strummingbird, due to the recent postponement of his Asia and Australian tours.

"While we are saddened by this news, we’re stoked to announce that Tyler Childers (Newcastle & Sunshine Coast only - Aus exclusive), Sam Barber (Ballarat only - Aus exclusive), and James Johnston (all shows) are joining the Strummingbird lineup in his place.

"They’ll be joining Bailey Zimmerman, Cooper Alan, Stella Lefty, Dexter & The Moonrocks, and the rest of the bloody beautiful crew this October.

"We completely understand if, due to this news, Strummingbird 2026 is no longer for you. If you’ve already got a ticket, refunds are available now via Moshtix until 5pm Thursday 3 September.

"If you’re still looking for tickets, Newcastle, Ballarat and the Sunshine Coast are still kickin’!

"We appreciate your understanding and are lookin’ forward to having a ripper time with ya!"
