Newport Plots 2026 Australian Tour

Rising Western Australian creative Newport is hitting the road this October in support of his latest track, 'Fickle'.

Written, produced and recorded in his bedroom, 'Fickle' explores a fleeting connection with someone that wasn't perfect, but one that you wouldn't change.

Teased on social over the past month, the track amassed over 3 million views and over 500,000 interactions across social media platforms, which is pretty darn impressive.

"'Fickle' felt like a reward from the universe. I'd been stuck, unable to write anything that truly inspired me or resonated with me. So I took time off being creative and did a lot of inner healing, eventually coming to a sense of acceptance about a lot of things in terms of past turbulent relationships, missing my childhood, identity crises," explains Newport.

"Then one day I stumbled into making this song. I was watching YouTube with my guitar plugged into the amp, just playing around with chords, until I landed on something that felt really good. After that, I was in a complete flow state and made most of what you hear today in one sitting."

Keen to share his new music with fans, Newport is heading out on tour across October. Kicking off at the Bergy Bandroom in Melbourne on Friday 2 October, Newport will then head to Port Macquarie for a set at Hideaway Festival on Saturday 3 October, followed by The Brightside Indoors on Sunday 4 October.

Then he's off to play a hometown show in Perth at the Indian Ocean Hotel on Friday 9 October, before hitting Bunbury on Saturday 10 October at Froth Craft, Jive in Adelaide on Friday 30 October and wrapping the tour in Sydney on Saturday 31 October at The Botany View Hotel.

Newport has quickly established himself as one to watch over the past 12 months, having been selected as one of triple J Unearthed's Forecast Artists of 2026, graced the covers of Spotify's Fresh Finds and *hits different* playlists and garnered more than 11 million streams.
