LA post-hardcore greats Touché Amoré have announced their first headline Australian tour in seven years. Having received a fantastic reception from fans as part of last year’s New Bloom festival, Touché Amoré have now locked in eight shows across the country for this July.
Touring in support of their most recent album, Spiral In A Straight Line (2024), Touché Amoré will be joined by hardcore alt-rockers Militarie Gun, who shared new single ‘Tall People Don’t Live Long’ yesterday (April 17).
Kicking things off at Brisbane’s The Triffid on Thursday, July 10, Touché Amoré and Militarie Gun continue with gigs at Gold Coast’s Mos Desert Clubhouse on Friday, July 11, Newcastle’s Hamilton Station Hotel on Saturday, July 12, Sydney’s Manning Bar on Sunday, July 13 and Wollongong’s Dicey Rileys on Tuesday, July 15. The final three dates occur at Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Thursday, July 17, Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Friday, July 18, and Perth’s Lynotts Lounge on Saturday, July 19.

Touché Amoré has been delivering its fierce brand of post-hardcore aggression for close to a decade. Often cited as one of the bands that made up the musical movement known as ‘The Wave’, Touché Amoré has released six albums in total, with last year’s Spiral in a Straight Line called “post-hardcore perfection” in a review by Metal Hammer.
Fellow LA act Militarie Gun have emerged as one to watch in the clogged American hardcore alternative rock scene. Despite several lineup changes during their five years together, the band have gone from strength to strength, with their 2023 debut album, Life Under the Gun, being critically acclaimed and landing at #1 on Stereogum’s Best Hardcore Albums of 2023.
