Angus & Julia Stone Share New Single 'Celestial Bodies' Ahead Of Forthcoming Album 'Karaoke Bar'

The track follows the previously released singles 'Karaoke Bar' and 'Monroe'

'Celestial Bodies' is the third single taken from Aussie brother and sister duo Angus & Julia Stone's upcoming seventh studio album, Karaoke Bar, arriving Friday 4 September via Virgin Music.

Following the release of 'Karaoke Bar' and 'Monroe', the siblings' latest continues to push the boundary of contemporary pop music, with 'Celestial Bodies' a spacey, groove-laden pop song that finds Angus and Julia contemplating life's unknowable questions.

Much like the rest of the songs on the album, 'Celestial Bodies' was crafted in studios across the world. First taking shape on the Greek island of Hydra, the song was fleshed out at the legendary Miraval Studios in the south of France before the final touches were added at Angus's Sugarcane Mountain Studio in the hinterland of New South Wales

Speaking of the track, Angus says, "Lyrically it’s an amalgamation, a bit of melting pot for everything we're going through in life as a collective. Celestial Bodies itself, the words, that’s what we are in essence, we're all stardust. We're all atoms bouncing around trying to figure who we belong with, the meaning of it all."

Karaoke Bar was written and recorded across Greece, France and Australia, with the album shaped by the places and people the Stone siblings experienced.

Since the release of their 2007 debut album A Book Like This, Angus & Julia Stone have established themselves as one of Australia's most internationally beloved musical exports.

The duo went global in 2010 with their sophomore album Down the Way, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart and produced the massive hit single, 'Big Jet Plane'.

Angus & Julia Stone have gone on to collaborate with Rick Rubin, collaborate on the soundtrack Life Is Strange and win six ARIA Awards, with Karaoke Bar set to be their most personal and reflective release yet.
