Formed in San Francisco in 1978, Dead Kennedys are one of the most revered musical acts to come out of the American punk scene.
For eight years, Dead Kennedys propelled the punk movement forward with their socially and politically charged songs addressing everything from class and race to war and poverty. Not only did they speak for the minority, but their blistering, head exploding burst of noise rock left punk and hardcore fans across the world in awe.
Disbanding in 1986 before the release of their fourth and final album, Bedtime for Democracy, Dead Kennedys reformed in 2001 and have continued to tour on and off over the past 24 years.
