Two years on from the release of their thrilling sophomore album, Last Of Your Kind, The VANNS are back with new single ‘Up All Night’.
A tasty morsel of swirling riffs and soulful lyrics, ‘Up All Night’ is a cleansing and reflective arena rocker produced by Holy Holy’s Oscar Dawson that builds on The VANNS’ familiar indie sonics.
“‘Up All Night’ is about feeling overwhelmed by the more sad, mundane, and monotonous aspects of life and trudging through them whilst holding onto the moments that make life great and, for lack of a better term, 'worth it’,” the band said in a statement.
“Trying to find the answers to life’s biggest, most salient questions and not being able to find them in the places where it seems others do.”
The release of ‘Up All Night’ comes hot on the heels of a massive 12 months for the boys from the south coast of New South Wales. Not only did they play their first US shows, including a showcase at SXSW in Austin, Texas, but The VANNS sold out headline shows across the country and shared the stage with international touring acts such as The Kooks, The Wombats, and Inhaler.

Since coming together over a decade ago, The VANNS have carved out a loyal fan base through their authentic songwriting and intoxicating live performances.
The VANNS dropped three EPs – The Vanns (2013), Scattered By Sundown (2015) and Shake the Hand That Picks the Fight (2017) – before the release of their acclaimed debut record, Through the Walls (2019). The album was nominated as the Feature Album on triple j and was followed by 2023’s Last of Your Kind, which peaked at #8 on the ARIA Album Chart.
Heavily supported by streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, the band’s new single ‘Up All Night’ acts as a great reintroduction to The VANNS and an exciting tease of what’s to come.
